Lambton Presbytery Executive
The United Church of Canada
The Lambton Presbytery Executive held a Conference Call on January 27, 2016 at the call of the
chair, with a quorum present. The meeting was constituted at 1:04 p.m. when Carolyn Wilson
Wynne stated, “In the name of Jesus, the one true head of the Church, and in the authority vested
in me as acting chair, I declare the meeting constituted for the transaction of such business as
may properly come before it.” Carolyn Wilson Wynne began the meeting with prayer.

Carolyn Wilson Wynne expressed appreciation for the leadership provided by Adam Kilner as
chair. Due to his resignation, Carolyn Wilson Wynne assumed the position of acting chair and
Louise Hall will become past chair.
Moved by Pat Whitton, seconded by Louise Hall and carried that Carolyn Wilson Wynne
be recognized as acting chair until the rise of Conference.
LAMBTON PRESBYTERY REFUGEE FUND
Following the Executive meeting of January 20, 2016, discussions took place with Grace United
Church regarding the Refugee Fund. It was agreed that Grace United would hold the bank
account on behalf of the Lambton Presbytery.
Moved by Pat Whitton, seconded by Carey Wagner and carried that Lambton Presbytery
accept the offer of Grace United Church to manage the Lambton Refugee Committee bank
account and that funds be disbursed as per the Lambton Presbytery Refugee Committee
with two signatures – one from Grace United and one from the Lambton Presbytery, with
Lambton Presbytery co-signers being: Connie Ellis, treasurer; Nancy Andrews, secretary;
and Louise Hall.
Pat Whitton, committee chair, assured the Executive that disbursements would be handled
through motions by the Lambton Presbytery Refugee Committee.
Carolyn Wilson Wynne was thanked by an Executive member for assuming the responsibilities
of chair once again.
Moved by Louise Hall, seconded by Carey Wagner and carried that the Conference Call
meeting be adjourned. Meeting was adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
