LAMBTON PRESBYTERY United Church Women - Nora Gibson
In July the "Summer Event" Sharing Our Stores at Siloam United Church, London was well attended and enjoyed by all.
But the highlight of the year so far was "The Tapestry of Love" 50th anniversary in Ancaster in July. For 5 days, over 400 women from across Canada and Bermuda celebrated noisily and joyously everything we have accomplished and will continue to accomplish as we weave the strands of our lives with love. Five of us from Lambton Presbytery were part of it.
Instead o f a mere $50,000.00 being raised towards the Morogoro Women's Training Centre in Tanzania, we raised $158,000.00! Lambton alone raised $5428.00. We have a video of highlights of the gathering for anyone to view.
Our fall meeting will be held at Grace United Church, Sarnia on Wed. September 26 at 7pm with Miles Vanni from the Good Shepherd Lodge speaking.

Our Nov.28th meeting will be an afternoon dessert get together at Thedford United Church at 1PM. Joan Love will speak on an African mission from a mother's perspective.

Mission & Service - Wilma Johnson, Mission & Service Chair for Lambton Presbytery
Well we will soon be entering the last quarter of 2012. Look to see where you are in your M & S givings at your church and if you need to step up the pace to meet your goal I hope you will do just that. Thanksgiving is a great time of year to share your abundance with others. I will again be helping Camlachie with doing a Memorial Angel Tree for the Christmas season. If anyone would like to have the patterns for the angels or more information please contact me.
Continue to promote M & S by using the Minute for Mission as often as possible and encourage the use of PAR in your church.
The M & S Bag has collected $412.50 so far in 2012. I am going to continue to pass the bag and I trust you will dig deep as every little bit helps.
